Uganda's New Vision newspaper recently underscored the importance of the upcoming Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit, highlighting its potential impact on the future of China-Africa relations.

The report detailed China's significant assistance in the modernization of African agriculture, including the deployment of more than 500 agricultural experts to the continent and the training of nearly 9,000 agricultural professionals. These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to enhance agricultural productivity and food security in Africa.

The article also noted that China has maintained its status as Africa's largest trading partner for 15 consecutive years, with bilateral trade reaching an impressive $282.1 billion in 2023.

Accordingly, the 2024 FOCAC summit is expected to further solidify the strong ties between China and Africa, paving the way for deeper cooperation in key areas such as economic growth, trade and sustainable development.
