On March 4, the Indian Luban Workshop, the third of its kind, passed its acceptance evaluation in Tianjin, a coastal city in North China.

The Indian Luban Workshop is a vocational training institution built to meet the demand of Chinese enterprises in their overseas development. It has fully taken into account India's economic and industrial development.

In 2018, Tianjin organized for Sinoma International Engineering Co, TT International Limited and three Chinese enterprises in India to jointly launch the Indian Luban Workshop program, which is comprised of four specific majors and six training venues related to photovoltaic power and numerical control machines.

Over the past few years, Tianjin Light Industry Vocational Technical College and the Tianjin Vocational College of Mechanics and Electricity have provided the workshop with technical training and guidance on a regular basis. Meanwhile, business executives from five Chinese sponsoring enterprises have acted as guest professors.

So far, the program has offered training services to over 1,300 people and carried out technical training for five Indian industrial committees. Many graduates from the workshop have found employment opportunities in Chinese and Indian enterprises over the years.

During the acceptance evaluation ceremony, experts agreed that the program has taken the lead in building a multi-dimensional cooperative platform for governments, universities and enterprises, and formulating a long-term integrated development mechanism between research institutes and universities.
