On Jan 10, vice president of the Tianjin University of Technology and Education Lyu Jingquan was invited to give a report on the innovative practices of the Luban Workshop's international industry-education integration.

He elaborated on the EPIP teaching model developed in Tianjin based on vocational education in developed countries. The EPIP uses engineering, practice, innovation and projects to integrate theoretical teaching and practices. It brings students into real life work situations to nurture and develop students' comprehensive professional competence and innovative skills.

In addition, he introduced the joint efforts between China and foreign countries on developing international professional teaching standards and teaching resources, and implementing training for the faculty of the Luban workshops. By cultivating high-quality tech talents in Africa, cooperation can be strengthened under the initiative of the "Belt and Road" and the Agenda 2063 of the African Union.
