TBVTC hosts IOT technology competition

An IOT Technology Application Competition kicked off at Tianjin Bohai Vocational Technology College (TBVTC) on Aug 11, as a part of the 2022 World Vocational College Skills Competition.

Twenty-two contestants from 11 countries have showcased their techniques and talent in the design, installment and debugging of IOT facilities, the application and innovation of IOT technology, and the building of IOT projects.

In addition, they are also expected to develop a set of reliable IOT systems with professional equipment and tools available.

The competition has been designed in accordance with international standards, professional criteria and occupational requirements to measure and evaluate the comprehensive abilities, especially adaptability and innovative competence, of contestants.

So far, the technology has already been applied in Luban workshops in Thailand and South Africa.

During the past years, the TBVTC has fostered a group of high-caliber IOT teaching resources, accumulated rich IOT experience in the implementation of the Thailand Luban Workshop, undertaken Tianjin Vocational Colleges IOT Technology Competition for five consecutive years, won the first prize in Tianjin Vocational Colleges IOT Technology Competition for five straight times, and sent a number of students to continue with their further education in other universities.

Meanwhile, the TBVTC has collaborated with Beijing Newland Education Technology Co Ltd to build a new IOT training center with an investment of over 1 million yuan in a drive to provide its students with advanced experimental equipment during their learning of IOT technology and skills.
