International students from the Tianjin University of Technology and Education attended themed activitiesto mark the arrival of Spring Festival, or Chinese Lunar New Year.

Lyu Jingquan, vice-president of the school, gave a lecture to the students about Chinese culture, the history of the university and the spirit of vocational education.

Attending students, who are also beneficiaries of the Luban Workshop program, said the lecture increased their confidence in the upcoming academic year.

They also participated in a trivia contest about Confucius, Lu Ban and Mo-tse, and other festive traditions. The university presented awards to those who performed well in the contest, as well as in COVID-19 prevention and control work.

During the lockdown period, the university offered specific teaching plans and online courses according to the students' personal academic performance. They  were also encouraged to take part in fitness activities in order to stay healthy.
