1. Overview

Hujiayuan Subdistrict is located in the western core area of Binhai New Area. It covers an area of 75.2 square kilometers and is administratively divided into 19 villages and 19 community committees. Currently, Hujiayuan has a population of 144,000, with the majority being migrants.

2. Economic

Hujiayuan is positioned as an important node area for the development of a "Twin Cities" commercial center. It is home to 2,400 enterprises, including 68 large-scale enterprises. In 2022, the subdistrict attracted registered capital of 781 million yuan, with a paid-up capital of 108.4 million yuan. It achieved a total fixed asset investment of 1.647 billion yuan and a cumulative industrial output value of 286 million yuan. Several national and municipal key projects, such as the Z2 Line, West Central Ring Expressway, Xinggang Expressway, Tianjin-Weifang High-Speed Rail, Tainjin-Tanggu Second Line, and Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Railway, are under construction within the subdistrict's jurisdiction.

3. Advantages

Hujiayuan is located along the main axis of the city development. It enjoys a shoreline of nearly 16 kilometers along the Haihe River, with Liu'nan Peninsula being bordered by the river on three sides (east, south, and west). There are abundant land resources for development, including 439 hectares for Huabei Ceramics, 600 hectares for Liu'nan Peninsula, 100 hectares for commercial and logistics parks, and nearly 7,500 mu (approximately 500 hectares) between two height points, all of which can serve as carriers for major projects.

The subdistrict benefits from convenient transportation. The east-west Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway, Tianjin-Binhai Expressway, Tianjin-Tanggu Highway, and Tianjin-Tanggu Second Line, as well as the north-south Changchun-Shenzhen Expressway, West Outer Ring Expressway, West Central Ring Expressway, and Zhongxinzhuang Road, form the backbone of Hujiayuan's "Four Horizontal and Four Vertical" transportation network. Within a 20-minute drive, one can reach Tianjin Airport, within 30 minutes to reach "Jincheng" (Tianjin City), and within 90 minutes to reach Beijing. The planned Jinbin Light Rail Line 9, Z1 Line, B6 Line, and other rail transit projects will further enhance transportation convenience.
