Hangzhoudao Subdistrict is located in the central urban area of Binhai New Area. It was formed in December 2013 through the merger of the original Hangzhoudao Subdistrict and Xiangyang Subdistrict. The subdistrict extends from Jiancai Road and Dongting Road in the east to Chezhan North Road in the west. It is bordered by the Beijing-Shanhaiguan Railway Line to the south and the extension of the Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway, Taida Avenue, and the southern wall of the thermal power plant to the north. Covering an area of 7.81 square kilometers, it consists of 29 communities. According to the 7th National Population Census in 2020, the permanent population was 183,495.

The area boasts a diverse range of market entities and a high concentration of enterprises. It is home to 8,047 various economic entities, including 4 agricultural markets, 3 large shopping malls, and 2 commercial complexes. Notably, it exhibits a significant clustering effect of central enterprises or their branches, with 15 central enterprises, such as China Construction Sixth Engineering Bureau, China Railway Construction Corporation North China, and Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Engineering, situated within the jurisdiction.

Hangzhoudao offers comprehensive public facilities, ensuring convenience in daily life. The area is rich in educational resources, with 16 primary and secondary schools and 21 kindergartens. In terms of healthcare, there is a secondary hospital, 17 health service centers, and community health service stations, along with 10 private comprehensive and specialized medical institutions.

Benefiting from its advantageous location, Hangzhoudao enjoys excellent transportation connectivity. Situated in the core area of Binhai New Area, it is served by the Tianjin-Binhai Light Rail, Jintang Road, Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway, and the extension of the Tianjin-Binhai Expressway. Main arterial roads such as Hangzhoudao and Guangzhoudao traverse the area, providing easy accessibility and highlighting its strategic location. The subdistrict serves as the primary entry point and gateway for the introduction of external resources into the core area of the new area.

The commerce and service industries thrive in Hangzhoudao. The catering service industry and commodity retail industry exhibit distinctive characteristics. In 2022, the industrial output value of scale-above enterprises reached 98 million yuan, with a growth rate of 18.1%, ranking first in the entire district. Fixed asset investment amounted to 489 million yuan, with a growth rate of 170.1%, placing it among the top performers in the district. A total of 57 investment projects were implemented, with a combined registered capital of 1.25 billion yuan. The actual utilization of domestic capital reached 494 million yuan, representing an increase of approximately 1.6 times compared to the previous year.
