Tianjin and Kyrgyzstan universities sign cooperation agreement

Print PrintTianjin Foreign Studies University and Osh State University of Kyrgyzstan signed an agreement on Sept 19 to deepen exchanges and cooperation. The meeting was held online.
The two universities will carry out extensive cooperation in the construction of disciplines and majors, teacher & student exchanges, scientific research, international Chinese education, and more.
The officials of the two universities -- Chen Fachun, president of TFSU; Vice President Li Yingying; Kozhobekov Kudayberdi Gaparalievich, president of Osh State University; and Vice President Abduvaliev Abdygany Osmonovich, attended the meeting.
The two presidents introduced their universities’ and provided basic information such as circulars, international ties, and history. Chen said the hand –joining of the two universities echoes the consensus reached by the two countries during the SCO summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
Kozhobekov Kudayberdi Gaparalievich pointed out that Osh State University is the most comprehensive and largest university in Kyrgyzstan. It has ranked first among Kyrgyz universities in the rating of international evaluation agencies for four consecutive years. He looked forward to in-depth cooperation with TFSU in language, culture, education, information science and engineering.
The "Online Palace Museum Cultural Course" co-set by the Confucius Institute at Osh State University and the International Education College of Tianjin Foreign Studies University has officially launched on Sept 19.
The teaming up of the two universities is made even more special since this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kyrgyzstan. Tianjin is actively promoting the establishment of a sister city with Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
