Print PrintThe Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Area (TEDA) released a list of 30 ecological enterprises that made outstanding efforts in promoting green development and environmental protection in 2021. They exemplified low-carbon development and continuously improved the quality of the environment.
TEDA has created this list for 19 years in a row. The top 30 companies achieved higher output value with less resource consumption and less pollution compared with 316 other companies that entered the ranking last year.
The ranking has effectively inspired enterprises to improve production processes, carry out emission reduction, continuously increase investment in pollution control, improve management, and promote high-quality development.
TEDA has established 19 national-level and 53 municipal-level green factories.
Enterprises in TEDA will continue to increase investment in environmental management. "Protecting the environment and practicing sustainable development is the strategic choice and social responsibility of FAW-Volkswagen. Tianjin branch will build a 'green ecological benchmark' as its corporate vision, and implement green development in the whole process of planning and design, raw material use, and factory operation," said Gao Jiefang, deputy head of FAW-Volkswagen in Tianjin.
