The 2025 Tianjin Baodi Sports Tourism Carnival opened in the Tianjin Jingjin New City on April 19 with the launch of the inaugural "Tangchao Run".

The run drew 2,000 participants from across China as well as from 14 other countries, with competitors tackling a 5-kilometer course lined with blooming flowers, interactive checkpoints at four hidden "petal stamp" stations, and six activity-based challenges.

Along the way, participants encountered mascots, while, at the finish line, the lively Tangchao Market added to the celebratory atmosphere.

As the first event of the 2025 Baodi Sports Tourism Carnival, the Tangchao Run marked the beginning of a year-long celebration of sports and tourism integration in the district.

Since 2024, Baodi has been cultivating its "Sports Tourism Carnival" as a signature brand, leveraging sporting events to attract visitors and drive local consumption.

This year, Baodi district plans to host over 50 major sporting events, including the Chaobai Wetland Half Marathon, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Dragon Boat Race, and a national competitive fishing tournament.

The campaign "Follow the Events to Baodi" is gaining momentum across the region, positioning the district's thriving sports economy as a new catalyst for tourism and economic growth.
