China Unicom launched its groundbreaking "Dual 10-Gigabit Network and AI Integration Initiative" at Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Digital Science and Technology Industrial Park in Tianjin's Wuqinig district on Mar 20.

The initiative aims to transform Tianjin into a 10-gigabit and AI-oriented city through new digital infrastructure construction and a network upgrade.

To this end, China Unicom's Tianjin branch, together with Huawei, Zhongxing Telecom Equipment, Baidu have established an AI Convergence Innovation Alliance in the city.

Xu Dexiang, general manager of China Unicom Tianjin, said "as a national pioneer in digital innovation and integration service, we should spare no efforts to strengthen the integration of AI technology and 10-gigabit network”.

Xu said this would inject momentum into Tianjin's growth as a "modern socialist metropolis" and contribute to the goal of building a digital China.

As part of the initiative, China Unicom plans to deploy 5G-Advanced networks with multi-carrier aggregation to achieve 10-Gigabit speeds and enable household broadband to gain access to 50G-PON technology.

Supported by the "Yuanjing Communication Assistant" AI platform, the firm has introduced 5G-Advanced packages, providing AI monitors for home security, and cloud-based AI phones and computers.

Additionally, to empower Tianjin's digital economy, China Unicom build an integrated structure platform to fully harnesses the Four-Pronged advantages of "computing, energy, data, and storage capacity" to provide solutions to enterprise.

By guaranteeing our customers with efficient, secure, and flexible services, it can fully unleash the potential of AI.

Looking forward, the deep integration of 5G-Advanced and AI technology will officially inaugurate an era of "10-gigabit AI".
