Students in Tianjin’s Eco-City learn to protect environment on World Environment Day

The impact of human behavior on the environment and the importance of environmental protection were clearly conveyed to the students through an interactive game.

In the lead up to World Environment Day 2021, a "Waste Sorting Experience Camp" event was held at Tianjin Eco-City Nankai Primary School in Tianjin's coastal Binhai New Area.

Jointly conducted by Eco-City's master developer Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment and Development Co., Ltd. (SSTEC) and the China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Environment Bureau, the activity fit in with the theme of this year's World Environment Day "Harmony between People and Nature".

SSTEC's staff provided the students with snippets of information on waste sorting.

By raising awareness of waste sorting among youths and advocating the "Zero-Waste City" development concept, it helped to foster harmony between people and nature.

The activity was one of a series of events held to commemorate World Environment Day 2021 in Eco-City. The students enjoyed an interesting and informative lecture on waste sorting. Through vivid illustrations and explanations, the lecturer briefed the students on the interdependent relationship between people and nature, and how they could contribute to environmental protection by making waste sorting a daily habit.

The students participated actively in a quiz on waste sorting.

The students also participated actively in interactive games and an interesting quiz on waste sorting. Through this, they acquired a deeper understanding of waste sorting and the "Zero-Waste City" concept, and a greater awareness of the importance of environmental protection.
